We are excited to announce that the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) Center for the Clinical Trials Network (CCTN) is hosting a virtual Xylazine Discussion Forum for CTN investigators.
This meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, September 26, 2023 from 4:00 p.m.– 5:30 p.m. ET.

Dr. Perrone and Dr. Haroz will highlight the emerging threat of xylazine in the U.S. illicit drug supply, summarize emerging practices for treating people taking xylazine-adulterated opioids, and discuss research gaps and opportunities identified in a recent meeting of experts convened by NIDA. Dr. Wax will describe the ACMT Toxicology Investigators Consortium (ToxIC), a multicenter toxicosurveillance and research network. CTN researchers will be encouraged to participate in discussion and Q&A.
