The Blueprint for Health will host its Annual Conference on May 7, 2019 at the DoubleTree Hotel and Conference Center in Burlington.

The Blueprint for Health will be offering a semi-regular orientation which is OPTIONAL, but recommended for new program managers, QI facilitators, CHT Leads, and CHT staff and any of our closely affiliated partners. The orientation is designed to provide a high level overview of the Blueprint program and the context of health care reform in Vermont.

Xylazine Discussion Forum

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

We are excited to announce that the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) Center for the Clinical Trials Network (CCTN) is hosting a virtual Xylazine Discussion Forum for CTN investigators.

This meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, September 26, 2023 from 4:00 p.m.– 5:30 p.m. ET.

Rachel Haroz, M.D., Associate Professor, Emergency Medicine & Addiction Medicine; Medical Director, Center for Healing, Cooper University Health Care, Cooper Medical School of Rowan University

Paul Wax, M.D., Executive Director, American College of Medical Toxicology, Adjunct Professor, UT Southwestern School of Medicine

Dr. Perrone and Dr. Haroz will highlight the emerging threat of xylazine in the U.S. illicit drug supply, summarize emerging practices for treating people taking xylazine-adulterated opioids, and discuss research gaps and opportunities identified in a recent meeting of experts convened by NIDA. Dr. Wax will describe the ACMT Toxicology Investigators Consortium (ToxIC), a multicenter toxicosurveillance and research network. CTN researchers will be encouraged to participate in discussion and Q&A.
